Agency Partnerships & Training
Volunteer Los Angeles is always looking for new ways we can help through the strategic investment of “human capital” and nation-leading volunteer management training. We can help your agency deliver on your mission more effectively – and at a lower cost.
Agency Partnerships
We understand it may be a little confusing for your nonprofit or government agency to figure out where to start your partnership with Volunteer Los Angeles. That’s why we’ve created our Agency Partnerships and Training (APT) team – to centralize your first contact with us.
The APT team can provide you with an overview of our various programs and help you determine which is the best fit to help you deliver on your mission. Whether you’re looking for a few volunteers, a lot of volunteers, short-term, long-term, or volunteers with special skills, the APT team will guide you to the right Volunteer Los Angeles program.
There are no fees charged to agencies for Volunteer Los Angeles’ volunteer placement services. Agencies are required to complete MOUs relevant to each program, including assurance of liability insurance, commitment to volunteer management best practices, and other terms. CRCS and Senior Corps require agencies to complete training and provide periodic reports specific to their programs. Other programs may suggest or require some limited training as well.
Volunteer Management Training
We also offer volunteer management training to bring a new depth to your volunteer programs.
- Volunteer Management Training Series allows us to customize the delivery of educational opportunities. We can provide an overview of volunteer management best practices in just 2 hours, or we can dive deep
into the principles and practices of effective volunteer management over the course of 2 days. - Service Enterprise Initiative will be launched in 2012 and will bring a more in-depth experience for nonprofits and public agencies wanting to strategically reconstruct the way they engage volunteers for maximum organizational growth and impact. The Service Enterprise Initiative, being built in partnership with CaliforniaVolunteers and Taproot Foundation, is a nation-leading curriculum designed for whole-organization evolution.
