Senior Corps Taps the Rich Experience, Skills and Talents of Angelenos Age 55+

When seniors feel valued, engaged and active, our community comes full circle in a flow that enriches us all.  Senior Corps, funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service, taps the rich experience, skills and talents of the 55+ population to ensure our seniors lead fulfilling, meaningful and happy lives. Senior Corps helps meet the needs and challenges of Los Angeles communities through three high-impact programs:

  • Foster Grandparents Program connects volunteers age 55+ with at-risk children, providing tutoring and mentoring support.
  • Senior Companion Program brings together volunteers age 55+ with senior adults in their community who have difficulty with the simplest tasks of day-to-day living.
  • Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) offers a wide variety of opportunities for volunteers age 55+ who want to find challenging, rewarding, and significant ways to serve their local communities.
